Privacy Policy
Your privacy is critically important to us. It is our policy to respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect from you through our mobile application, Golf Master:shot tracer (the "App"), developed by yanhuali.
1. Information Collection and Use
Golf Master:shot tracer is a pure client-side application. We do NOT collect, transmit, or store any personal information or user data on our servers.
All data generated by the App, including but not limited to:
- Golf swing trajectory recordings
- Motion analysis results
- Swing correction feedback
- User preferences and settings
- Performance statistics and history
is processed entirely on your local device and stored exclusively on your device's internal storage or iCloud (if you choose to enable iCloud backup). We never have access to this data, nor do we transmit it over the internet to any third-party servers.
We do not ask for, collect, or store any personally identifiable information such as your name, email address, phone number, physical address, or payment information. The App does not require you to create an account to use any of its features.
2. On-Device Analysis and AI Services
Golf Master performs golf ball tracking and swing posture analysis on device.
Trajectory tracking uses a locally bundled YOLOv8n model.
Posture analysis uses MediaPipe Pose and/or Apple Vision keypoint detection.
The App does not send user videos, images, or swing data to any third-party AI service.
3. Device Permissions
The App may request access to the following device features solely to provide its core functionality:
- Camera Access: Required to record your golf swings for trajectory analysis and motion correction. Video recordings are stored locally on your device and never uploaded to our servers.
- Motion Sensors: May be used to enhance swing analysis accuracy by utilizing your device's accelerometer and gyroscope. Sensor data is processed in real-time on your device and not retained after analysis is complete.
- Photo Library Access: Required if you choose to import existing videos from your device for analysis. We only access the specific videos you select and do not read or modify any other content in your photo library.
You may disable these permissions at any time through your device's Settings app. Please note that disabling certain permissions may limit the functionality of the App.
4. Data Security
We take the security of your data seriously. Since all data remains on your local device, the security of your information is protected by your device's built-in security features, including passcode protection, Touch ID, Face ID, and device encryption.
We implement commercially reasonable technical measures within the App to ensure that your locally stored data remains secure from unauthorized access within the App's sandbox environment. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of data stored on your device.
5. Third-Party Services
The App does not integrate with any third-party analytics services, advertising networks, or social media platforms. We do not share any data with third parties under any circumstances.
The App may contain links to external websites (such as our support page or App Store listing). Please be aware that we have no control over the content and practices of these external sites, and we cannot accept responsibility or liability for their respective privacy policies. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any website you visit.
6. Children's Privacy
Our App is intended for general use and does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. Since we do not collect any user data whatsoever, we comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately at the email address below.
7. User Rights
As a user of our pure client-side App, you have complete control over your data:
- You can view, edit, or delete any swing recordings or analysis results directly within the App
- You can back up your data to your own iCloud account or export videos to your device's photo library
- You can delete all App data by uninstalling the App from your device
Under applicable privacy laws including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information. Since we do not collect or store any of your personal information, these rights are exercised entirely through your control of your device and the App's local data management features.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date" at the bottom of this policy. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
Your continued use of the App after the effective date of the revised Privacy Policy will constitute your acceptance of the changes.
