Nutrition Tracker Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 11, 2026 · Last updated: August 11, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Nutrition Tracker (also referred to as “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the Nutrition Tracker iOS application and related services.

Nutrition Tracker provides nutrition and general wellbeing information. It is not a medical device, and its content does not replace diagnosis, treatment, or advice from a doctor or registered dietitian.

1. Information We Collect

Account and service information

What: An app-assigned user or account ID, authentication token, nickname, invitation code, trial status, and membership status.

How: The app creates or retrieves this information when it connects to our account service. The token and a copy of the account response are also stored on your device.

Why: To authenticate your session, display your account, restore service state, and provide membership features when available.

Health and nutrition profile information

What: The health area you choose to focus on, health status or stage, biological sex, age, height, weight, and values derived from those details, such as body mass index.

How: You provide these details during onboarding. In the current version, these profile fields are stored locally on your device and are used to personalize nutrition references shown in the app.

Why: To tailor nutrition targets and educational guidance. We do not use health information for advertising or cross-app tracking.

Meal photos

What: A photo you choose to take with the in-app camera for a meal record.

How: Camera access occurs only after you grant iOS camera permission. The current version holds the captured image temporarily in memory for review and does not save it to your Photos library or upload it to our servers.

Why: To let you preview and confirm a meal photo. If a future version uploads or stores meal photos for analysis, we will update this policy and provide any consent required before that processing begins.

Feedback and support information

What: Feedback text you choose to submit and, if you provide it, a contact email address.

How: This information is sent to our feedback service only when you tap Submit on the Feedback page. The optional email is included with the feedback text so that support can contact you about your request.

Why: To review suggestions, respond to support requests, diagnose reported problems, and improve Nutrition Tracker.

Device, identifier, and connection information

What: Device model, iOS version, preferred language, app version, bundle identifier, user-agent string, Identifier for Vendor (IDFV), an app-generated stable device identifier, network availability, and connection information such as IP address that is normally visible to a server receiving a request.

How: This information is read automatically from your device or generated by the app when the app signs in, updates device information, or communicates with the service.

Why: To create and maintain the service session, support compatibility, prevent abuse, troubleshoot failures, and keep the service reliable.

Tracking permission and advertising identifier

What: Your App Tracking Transparency authorization status and, only if you grant permission, the device advertising identifier (IDFA).

How: iOS displays Apple’s tracking permission prompt before the app can access the IDFA. If you decline, the app sends no IDFA.

Why: Where enabled, to measure advertising attribution and performance. Tracking permission is optional and is not required to use the app’s core nutrition features. Health profile information is not used for this purpose.

Purchase and membership information

What: If paid features become available and you make or restore a purchase, we may process the product ID, transaction ID, original transaction ID, App Store receipt, and resulting membership status.

How: Purchase processing is performed through Apple StoreKit. Receipt and transaction details may be sent to Apple for verification and to our backend to activate or restore membership.

Why: To complete purchases, prevent fraud, restore entitlements, and provide purchased features. We do not receive your full payment card or bank account details from Apple.

2. How We Use Information

We use information only as reasonably necessary to:

We will not use personal information for a materially different purpose without providing notice and obtaining additional consent where required.

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share the minimum information necessary with:

Any service provider or related entity that receives user data on our behalf must protect it to the same or an equivalent standard described in this policy and may process it only for the contracted purpose.

4. Permissions and Your Choices

Withdrawing permission stops future access to the affected device capability. It does not invalidate processing that lawfully occurred before withdrawal.

5. Data Storage and Retention

Our backend may process information on servers located in China. If you use the app from another country or region, your information may therefore be transferred to and processed in China with safeguards required by applicable law.

6. Access, Correction, Consent Withdrawal, and Deletion

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information associated with your app account. Email ws@letshealth.cn and include the user ID shown on the “My” page so that we can verify the request without asking for unnecessary information.

You may also open My Services > Delete Account to submit an account-deletion request directly in the app. After the service confirms the request, the app clears the local session, cached account and membership status, nutrition profile, onboarding status, pending purchase-report cache, and stored stable device identifier. Deleting an account is irreversible and may remove associated membership access, subject to rights that cannot legally be waived and records we must retain by law.

If you continue through onboarding or launch the app again after deletion, the app may create a new service account so that core features can operate. This new account does not restore the deleted account’s local nutrition profile. Deleting the app account does not itself cancel an App Store subscription; subscriptions must be managed through your Apple account settings.

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or loss. No storage or transmission system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children

Nutrition Tracker is not directed to children under 13, or under the minimum age required by local law to consent to digital services. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child without valid parental or guardian authorization. A parent or guardian who believes a child has provided information may contact us to request deletion.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy when the app, our data practices, or legal requirements change. We will update the “Last updated” date and provide additional notice in the app when a change materially affects your rights or how we use personal information.
